Zurich Scudder raises $10m with second hedge fund

Zurich Scudder Investments has launched the Crescendo UK Fund, a long/short hedge fund that invests in UK companies, with $10m (€12m).

A long-only manager buys and holds stocks that are in favour. The ability to go short means a manager can also sell stocks that are out of favour and that the manager does not physically own.
