The 3i Group has hired the former global head of collateralised loan obligations at Credit Suisse, as new chief executive, Simon Borrows, prepares for a big expansion at its debt arm.

3i Debt Management has brought in Andrew Bellis as a managing director and partner, reporting to managing partner and 3i DM chief executive Jeremy Ghose. Bellis will help to direct the group's strategy for growth.
