AI demand set to spark M&A deals frenzy among fund managers

Asset management M&A activity over the next three years is expected to be fuelled by growing demand for artificial intelligence expertise, as investment firms seek access to specialist talent and create new sources of revenue. 

According to a survey of more than 500 global asset managers and institutional investors by PwC, 81% are considering strategic partnerships with tech firms or acquiring businesses with AI capabilities by 2028.
