Andrew Bailey has been appointed to the Bank of England's Financial Policy Committee, the central bank said in a statement on Friday.

Bailey, an executive director of the BOE and a senior official at the Financial Services Authority, will replace Hector Sants, the outgoing chief executive of the FSA, at this month's FPC meeting, the BOE said.
