Bank of America Merrill Lynch has recruited a JP Morgan banker and former Financial News Rising Star as head of financial sponsors mergers and acquisitions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, in the latest in a string of senior appointments at the investment bank.

Eamon Brabazon, who has worked for JP Morgan for more than 15 years, will join BAML in August in the newly-created London role of Emea head of financial sponsors M&A, according to an internal memo sent to staff on Friday and seen by Financial News.
