New look Dubai bourse appoints Fix

The Dubai Mercantile Exchange has named Christopher Fix as its new chief executive officer, after three months of searching

The Dubai Mercantile Exchange has appointed a new chief executive officer after the previous chief, Thomas Leaver, announced in March that he would be stepping down in the coming months. The moves come amid a shareholder restructure at the bourse.

Christopher Fix joins the exchange from French bank BNP Paribas, where he had worked for two decades and most recently spent a three-year stint as head of marketing for commodity futures Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, Fix helped build BNP Paribas' customer base in Asia, which grew four-fold during his time there.
