The Dubai Mercantile Exchange has appointed a new chief executive officer after the previous chief, Thomas Leaver, announced in March that he would be stepping down in the coming months. The moves come amid a shareholder restructure at the bourse.
Christopher Fix joins the exchange from French bank BNP Paribas, where he had worked for two decades and most recently spent a three-year stint as head of marketing for commodity futures Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, Fix helped build BNP Paribas' customer base in Asia, which grew four-fold during his time there.
