EY’s former chair and managing partner for the UK and Ireland Steve Varley has joined private equity giant Warburg Pincus as a senior adviser.

Varley stepped down from his leadership role at the Big Four consultant in 2020. Earlier this year, he set up his own rival professional services business, Unity Advisory, with backing from Warburg Pincus.
