The Financial Services Authority, the UK regulator, has proposed changing the rules on the sale and marketing of UK hedge funds to make them more readily available to retail investors.

The call for views on fund accessibility is part of the FSA's pledge to consider tightening regulation of the hedge fund industry following accusations of shares being driven down and the financial system being undermined.
