Funding Circle eyes international expansion

Peer-to-peer lending platform Funding Circle has raised £82 million from venture capital firms, in further evidence that UK fintech remains attractive despite Brexit.

The deal was led by venture capital firm Accel, which teamed up with existing Funding Circle investors, including Baillie Gifford, DST Global, Index Ventures, Ribbit Capital, Rocket Internet, Sands Capital Ventures, Temasek and Union Square Ventures, according to a statement.
