The potential sale comes after Cinven acquired Grant Thornton’s UK business last year

Grant Thornton India is eyeing a capital injection from private equity as accountancy firms rush to raise cash amid fierce competition in the sector.

The accountancy giant’s India arm, known as Grant Thornton Bharat, employs more than 11,000 people in 19 locations across the country. The firm is targeting $2bn revenue by the end of the decade.
