JPMorgan kicked off the third-quarter earning season for Wall Street banks with a 31% jump in investment banking fees as the dealmaking rebound picks up pace.

The Wall Street bank brought in $2.3bn in dealmaking fees during the third quarter, which beat analyst expectations for the unit.
