The private equity owner of Italian firm Moleskine, the maker of luxury notebooks favoured by Ernest Hemingway and Henri Matisse, has hired a trio of investment banks to help it list on the Borsa Italiana in Milan.
Marco Ariello, partner at Syntegra Capital, told Financial News that Goldman Sachs, UBS and Mediobanca were hired last week as joint-bookrunners on the deal. Syntegra is hoping to list the firm in Milan in early September. Ariello declined to state a listing price at this early stage.
