Amid fears that investors are being swamped by information about sustainability, Morningstar's chief executive has said that excess ESG data "isn't the problem" for the sector.

Speaking to Financial News at Morningstar's Sustainable Investing Conference in Amsterdam, Kunal Kapoor said: "It's often the kind of comment that's directed at retail investors and perpetuates the notion that retail money is dumb money. Individuals are way smarter than people give them credit for."
