Nomura has hired a Credit Suisse veteran to run its quantitative investment strategies unit — the latest senior hire from the Swiss bank after an exodus of key talent since its takeover by rival UBS.

Jérôme Brochard has joined Nomura in the newly created role of head of quantitative investment strategies structuring and head of QIS distribution in Emea, the bank said in a statement announcing his appointment.
