UBS chief executive Sergio Ermotti has hit back at suggestions that the bank should face tougher regulations after its shotgun takeover of rival Credit Suisse.

Ermotti’s comments came as Swiss regulators consider forcing UBS to hold more capital after its balance sheet swelled following the acquisition of its former arch-rival.
