Investment banking is a young persons’ game. Or, at least, it used to be.

The model was that bankers and traders worked unbelievably hard in their 20s and 30s. Those that made it would hit the heights in their 40s. But then many would have had enough, or made enough, and would step aside to make way for the next generation.
