A cross-party committee of MPs has launched a pair of inquiries to investigate diversity in the City and the progress government-backed initiatives have made to place people from different backgrounds at senior levels in private and public institutions.

Today, Nicky Morgan, chair of the Treasury Committee, published a letter to Chancellor Philip Hammond expressing concerns about a lack of diversity at the UK's central bank.
