UBS names Credit Suisse dealmaker Furber to lead new fixed income unit

The Swiss bank has upped its ambitions for its investment bank since acquiring Credit Suisse last March

UBS has named a former Credit Suisse dealmaker to head a new unit that will offer a broader range of fixed income products to its clients.

Mike Furber has been promoted to head of corporate fixed income solutions at UBS, according to a memo seen by Financial News. The new unit will offer a number of services alongside deal advice including “interest and currency hedging, flow FX, commodities, cash management, and bespoke structured solutions”.
