US to pause Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine after blood clot death

The US is set to halt the use of Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose coronavirus vaccine after six recipients developed rare blood clot conditions, US federal agencies said.

The US Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control said in a joint statement they were recommending a pause in the use of Johnson & Johnson's Covid-19 jab "out of an abundance of caution".
